Notes on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola is a compilation of 39 classic articles from the journal Review for Religious, published by Jesuits of the Missouri Province from 1942 through 2012. All of the articles concern the Spiritual Exercises and their use in the traditional Ignatian retreat. Herbert F. Smith’s “The Nature and Value of a Directed Retreat,” Sister Margaret Baker’s “My Experience of a Directed Retreat,” and David T.
