Finding Christ in the World invites the reader to “let God show you where and how He concretely breaks into your life.” A 12–week prayer experience framed by the Spiritual Exercises, the book is of particular help to faith communities such as Bible study and prayer groups. But individuals can also use it as a means of prayer. The instructions for retreat invite a “conversion of heart from a tight focus on one’s self to a graced focus on God–with–us.” The book includes questions and prompts for reflection (for example, “When I think about God listening to me, I want to tell him…”), and guidelines for reviewing each week of prayer. We have improved the 2017 edition with curl-resistant front and back covers.

I am intending to use this in mid-January at my ELCA Lutheran church if I can gather a small group of people to join with me. The format of this manual is very inviting, the explanation and prayer prompts appealing and having space to journal is one of its best features. I did the Exercises several years ago when we were give the scriptures one page at a time. As a result I have no record of what I experienced at that time. I'm looking forward to this refresher retreat for me while I will be the guide for others.

This is a great tool in the Ignatiian way. I love all of the space for writing notes and prayers as I use this book. I’m sure you don’t make any profit on it’s sales, but it is a little expensive.

The workbook is a superb framework for the 12-week Ignatian Retreat. Participating in small group discussions is critical to deepen the spiritual experience .

This book is an excellent resource for those exploring the spiritual exercises. It presents such rich content for this 12 week experience. It gives the retreatant much to pray and reflect on. The format is easy to follow and having the prayer material and space for journal writing all in one is convenient. It has everything you need to have a meaningful retreat experience.
