Finding Christ in the World invites the reader to “let God show you where and how He concretely breaks into your life.” A 12–week prayer experience framed by the Spiritual Exercises, the book is of particular help to faith communities such as Bible study and prayer groups. But individuals can also use it as a means of prayer. The instructions for retreat invite a “conversion of heart from a tight focus on one’s self to a graced focus on God–with–us.” The book includes questions and prompts for reflection (for example, “When I think about God listening to me, I want to tell him…”), and guidelines for reviewing each week of prayer. We have improved the 2017 edition with curl-resistant front and back covers.

Order came quickly. I have been following along for a week and It is very enjoyable to read, pray, and journal with everyday. I am looking forward to the rest of the retreat.

I beleive this publication would help an individual - with the direction of a spiritual director - with praying, reflecting and following in the footsteps of Jesus as those who have completed the 19th annotation. It is a good manual. I have not used it either as a siritaul director or someone looking to follow it. However, I have it available and I will certainly recommend it.

I find this guide very comprehensive with a good flow from day to day. The amount of material is easy to manage on a daily basis. The retreat can be completed individually or by sharing with a group your insights every couple of weeks. So far I would recommend it to anyone.

This 12 week retreat is wonderfully guided with reflection, prayer insights, and Ignatian teaching on praying with scripture. I look forward to doing this retreat with a group at my parish and possibly at work.

This is my second copy for me because I gave the original to a friend. I have given away a few books to interested Catholics because I believe in this subject. Excellent book. This is my second year going through it again.
