Product Overview

Finding Christ in the World invites the reader to “let God show you where and how He concretely breaks into your life.” A 12–week prayer experience framed by the Spiritual Exercises, the book is of particular help to faith communities such as Bible study and prayer groups. But individuals can also use it as a means of prayer. The instructions for retreat invite a “conversion of heart from a tight focus on one’s self to a graced focus on God–with–us.” The book includes questions and prompts for reflection (for example, “When I think about God listening to me, I want to tell him…”), and guidelines for reviewing each week of prayer. We have improved the 2017 edition with curl-resistant front and back covers.

    Adult Christian Education

Posted by Paul Baker on Oct 2nd 2021

Great content and written in plain English. I see it as a prayer guide but it is more than that. It is Spirituality 101, adult Christian education. Pray and learn from it for 12 weeks or forever as long it takes. It is good news to know how to access the gifts of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives.

I am so pleased with this (work)book! I am gaining much-needed new insight into my faith. I had wanted to do an Ignatian Retreat for a while and this program made it so easy. May God bless you at Boston College!

This book so far is accompanying our small group retreat-it provides excellent structure for us and has an accessible, non-pedantic quality that I like. Thanks!

Looking at this as something to offer a parish as a short retreat or to our Discipleship groups. Will be easy to pull the information a week at a time

This is a wonderful resource and tool for praying through and sharing Ignatian Spirituality. Very versatile. One can go at one's own speed. Or work through it with a group. Best of all are the numerous, concrete helps to aid folks new to deep reflection on our lives as means to encounter God. We pray to God and the word God speaks to us is our life. Spiritiual Exercises

Posted by Elia Cuomo on Jun 23rd 2021

I found this workbook to be a very helpful source for doing the Retreat in Daily Life. The book follows an abridged version of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius providing Scripture readings, questions based on the readings for reflection and space for personal journaling. I found the material very inspiring and challenging. As I have done the 19th Annotation before I was able to compare and found that the book was just as effective In relaying Ignatius message. But more than that it brought Jesus alive in me.
