Product Overview
Finding Christ in the World invites the reader to “let God show you where and how He concretely breaks into your life.” A 12–week prayer experience framed by the Spiritual Exercises, the book is of particular help to faith communities such as Bible study and prayer groups. But individuals can also use it as a means of prayer. The instructions for retreat invite a “conversion of heart from a tight focus on one’s self to a graced focus on God–with–us.” The book includes questions and prompts for reflection (for example, “When I think about God listening to me, I want to tell him…”), and guidelines for reviewing each week of prayer. We have improved the 2017 edition with curl-resistant front and back covers.

5 Spiritiual Exercises
Posted by Elia Cuomo on Jun 23rd 2021
I found this workbook to be a very helpful source for doing the Retreat in Daily Life. The book follows an abridged version of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius providing Scripture readings, questions based on the readings for reflection and space for personal journaling. I found the material very inspiring and challenging. As I have done the 19th Annotation before I was able to compare and found that the book was just as effective In relaying Ignatius message. But more than that it brought Jesus alive in me.

At Rockhurst High School, we use this workbook to share the Spiritual Exercises and Ignatian Prayer with faculty and staff. Folks really like the self-contained format (including daily scripture passages, reflection questions, and space for journaling).

5 "Finding Christ in the World"
Posted by Madeleine Prendergast on Oct 26th 2020
Only a few days in, I'm deriving so much from this retreat. I was awed by these opening remarks from Fr. Beaumier: We believe that when our interior is strong, when our interior is robust, that we can be very effective in the way that we live and move and have our being. Spiritual Exercises are made in order to help free us from any sort of disordered affection so that we can make good decisions in our lives.... We believe that when our spiritual senses are in sync with our physical senses, that that is our pinnacle of the imitation of Christ in many ways. I'm also awed by the book "Finding Christ in the World". The text is vigorous, robust and delicate, all at the same time. Every word must have been considered. The sentences are easy and concise, but each is profound. Simply by reading the opening material, I trusted the authors as experienced guides. I love the material and I look forward each day to my time with the Lord.
