Product Overview

Finding Christ in the World invites the reader to “let God show you where and how He concretely breaks into your life.” A 12–week prayer experience framed by the Spiritual Exercises, the book is of particular help to faith communities such as Bible study and prayer groups. But individuals can also use it as a means of prayer. The instructions for retreat invite a “conversion of heart from a tight focus on one’s self to a graced focus on God–with–us.” The book includes questions and prompts for reflection (for example, “When I think about God listening to me, I want to tell him…”), and guidelines for reviewing each week of prayer. We have improved the 2017 edition with curl-resistant front and back covers.

    Very eye opening.

I am thoroughly enjoying this guided retreat book. I have learned a great deal due to the organization and outlined day by day steps.

    Finding Christ in the World

I like the way it is organized. I will be working in a group, but I think the way this book is done, someone could do it alone. I've never taken the time to do anything quit like this before. I am a retired person.

    Excellent 18th Annotation Book

Posted by Sister Digna Vela, IWBS on Dec 28th 2017

This is an excellent resource for the 18th Annotation with a small group. This fall was my first experience to facilitate this 12 - week retreat, and I was not disappointed. It really helped participants grow in their prayer and spiritual life. I plan to offer it again.

    Excellent resource

I am facilitating a retreat with nine persons using this resource, and it is excellent. I believe it is really helping the participants grow in their spiritual life, understanding prayer and spirituality, and developing a deeper prayer life. Fr. Tetlow did an excellent job with this resource.

    Best 18th Annotation Book Available

Posted by Chris Pinne, SJ on Jan 25th 2017

I have used this book with our Law School Faculty & students for three years. They all found it a challange but one they found very statisfying. Now I am about to begin with a small group of our high school faculty (6), and a small group of seniors (that where recommended by other senior teachers). I do not know as yet how many seniors will say "yes". I am currently working at DeSmet Jesuit High School.
