The 20 short essays in this collection incorporate stories from the life of St. Ignatius and lessons from the gospel in order to “give a taste of” Ignatian spirituality, as author David L. Fleming, S.J., writes. Many of the essays offer guidance on the completion of the Spiritual Exercises. Other topics include “Prayer and a Healthy Life” and “A Media God.” (“For St. Ignatius Loyola, God is a God who wants to break into our life through as many channels as our ‘cable TV set’ has.”) Fr. Fleming was a longtime editor of the journal Review for Religious.
